In 1989, Dr. Khonkar worked as an Assistant Project Manager for Saudi German HYSOLAR, producing hydrogen by solar. In addition, he has been an Adjacent Faculty Member at the Florida Institute of Technology (FIT), USA, since 2007 and King Saud University. He is a member of Scientific Committee in Research Grants Program for Saudi Universities.
